This Cookie Policy explains how EnergyMe S.r.l. (“EnergyMe”, “we”, “us”), with registered office at Via Plezzo 56, 20132 Milan (MI), Italy, uses cookies and similar technologies on www.energyme.net (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They allow the Site to work properly, remember your choices and, where you agree, understand how the Site is used. In this policy we refer to cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) simply as “cookies”.
2. Your consent
When you first visit the Site, a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage your choices by category. Necessary cookies are always active because the Site cannot work without them. All other categories stay off until you give your consent. You can change your choice at any time (see section 5).
3. Cookies we use
Necessary (always on). These cookies are required for the core functions of the Site, such as security, keeping items in your shopping cart, completing checkout and remembering your cookie choices. They do not require consent. They are set by our website provider, Squarespace, Inc. They include:
“crumb”: a security cookie, deleted when you close your browser;
cookies whose names start with “ss_marketingCookies” and “ss_performanceCookies”: they record your cookie choices and are stored for 30 days.
Performance and Analytics (only with your consent). These cookies help us count visits and understand where our visitors come from, so we can improve the Site and our products. We use Squarespace Analytics, provided by Squarespace, Inc., and Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, which sets cookies such as “_ga” and “ga<ID>“ (duration: up to 2 years). Google processes this information according to its Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising (only with your consent). We do not currently use advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
4. Other technologies and third-party services
When you visit the Site, your browser connects to the following services, which receive technical data such as your IP address and browser information. Some of them may use cookies or similar technologies for security and technical purposes.
Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise (Google), used to protect the Site from spam and abuse. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), used to detect and fix technical errors. Its servers are located in the United States. See Sentry’s Privacy Policy.
Amazon Web Services, EU (Ireland) region, used to run technical services of the Site.
Squarespace, Inc., our website provider, which delivers the Site’s pages, images and files. See its Privacy Policy.
Links to other websites (such as GitHub, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn) lead to services that have their own cookie and privacy policies, which we do not control.
5. How to change or withdraw your consent
You can change your choices at any time by clicking “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of any page of the Site. You can also clear the cookies of this Site in your browser: the banner will appear again on your next visit.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site, such as the shopping cart, from working.
6. Your rights and contact
You have the rights described in our Privacy Policy, including access, rectification, erasure, objection and withdrawal of consent. To exercise them, write to support@energyme.net. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we change the tools we use or when the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
